Providing Public Input

As part of the NEPA scoping process, DOE hosted a virtual public scoping meeting on January 22, 2025, from 6-8 PM PST to provide an opportunity for DOE to gather scoping comments to inform the preparation of an EIS for the Pacific Northwest Hydrogen Hub. The meeting was open to the public and free to attend. Representatives from DOE and DOE’s third-party NEPA contractor, provided information on the proposed action and the EIS process. The public was invited to provide oral comments at the meeting regarding the scope of the EIS.

Other ways Public Input was provided

DOE welcomed written comments on the scope of the EIS until March 3, 2025 through Regulations.gov, email, US mail and hand delivery service. The public will be invited to participate in review of the Draft EIS later in 2025.
