Providing Public Input

The Service wants your input

The Service is in the public review period for the draft Desert Tortoise GCP and EIS and invites the public to submit its input during the 60-day public comment period, which runs from October 11 through December 10, 2024.

Your input should be as specific as possible to ensure that the information you submit is understood, and your concerns are addressed. Comments that are most helpful raise issues the Service has not identified, provide information to aid in the refinement of alternatives, or provide new data or information to consider in the impact analysis of alternatives. Comments that are less helpful are those that comment in favor or against an action without giving a reason, disagree with Service policy, do not offer justification or supporting data, or do not pertain to the scope of the EIS.

Ways to Provide Public Input

You may only submit your written comments using one of the following methods:

  • Online: http://www.regulations.gov. Follow the instructions for submitting comments on Docket No. FWS-R8-ES-2023-0084.

  • U.S. mail: Public Comments Processing, Attn: Docket No. FWS-R8-ES-2023-0084; U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, MS: PRB/3W, 5275 Leesburg Pike, Falls Church, VA 22041-3803.

Public Disclosure

Before including your address, phone number, e-mail address, or other personal identifying information in your input, be advised that your entire entry, including your personal identifying information, may be made publicly available at any time. While you may request that we withhold your personal identifying information from public review, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to do so.
