How to Submit Input
The BLM invites the public to submit its comments on the Draft RMP/EIS on or before July 5, 2024.
We would like to hear from you about the alternatives and analyses presented in the Draft RMP/EIS. You may want to discuss particular places, resources, or resource uses in the Monument. Your input should be as specific as possible to ensure that the information you submit is understood, and your concerns are addressed.
We have included examples of comments that are substantive and will be considered in development of the Proposed RMP/Final EIS and comments that are not substantive and will not be considered.
Substantive Comments
Raise issues the BLM has not identified
Provide information to aid in the development of alternatives
Provide information to consider for impacts of the alternatives
Non-Substantive Comments
Offer opinions
Comment in favor or against an action without giving a reason
Disagree with BLM policy
Comments without justification or supporting data
Comments do not pertain to the planning area or the scope of the EIS
