Reclamation Wants Your Feedback

Reclamation is requesting public input on the draft American Falls RMP.

To be most helpful, your comments should be as specific as possible. Examples of substantive comments are as follows:

• provide new information about the proposed project.

• identify a different way to meet the project need.

• suggest alternate methodologies for analysis and the reason(s) why they should be used.

• make factual corrections or identify sources of credible research or data.

Comments that are less helpful and considered non-substantive are those that:

• vote in favor of or against proposed management or activities.

• agree or disagree with agency policy without justification or supporting data.

• don’t pertain to the project area or the proposed project.

• contain vague, open-ended questions.

Ways to Comment

Reclamation will have several opportunities for the public to provide input during the development of the RMP proposed action. The first opportunity to submit input began on August 28, 2024 and ended on October 12, 2024.

The second opportunity to submit input begins on January 29, 2025 and ends on February 26, 2025. The second in-person meeting scheduled for February 13, 2025, has been canceled due to adverse weather conditions and storm warnings predicted for that afternoon. However, the public can submit comments via the following methods:

• Through the comment form directly below on this virtual public meeting room website.

• By postal mail. Written comments can be sent to Jami Andersen, Project Manager, Bureau of Reclamation, Upper Snake Field Office, 470 Roger Ave., Heyburn, ID 83336.
