Through additional analysis, Reclamation determined that merging the Elmendorf drain with the mainstem Rio Grande in the Tiffany Basin would result in maintenance issues. Reclamation has adjusted the alternatives to be considered in the Draft EIS to account for this and comments received during public scoping.
