Identify the “Why”

  • Share your reasoning. Comments that simply state agreement or opposition are unhelpful.

Remember, comments Are Not “Votes”

  • Duplicate comments do not carry more weight. Substance has a bigger impact than quantity.

Include Your Name

  • To have standing to object, you must include your name and contact information.

Example Comment

In the Fire and Fuels section (pg. 80 of the Draft LMP) guideline says “Measures should be taken to prevent the spread of invasive plant species by equipment, personnel, or rehabilitation operations.” This should be a standard instead of a guideline because nonnative invasive plants are difficult to eradicate.
